Let’s consider your bathroom.

Vanity and Sinks

Most people prefer having their own sink, and this especially true if you and your partner have differing ideas about what constitutes a clean sink and faucet surface.

Investing in two sinks for your master bath can save you a lot of headaches.

Perhaps you’d like completely individual sinks that show elegance? Or perhaps you might want under-mounted sinks (attached to a countertop’s underside) with a water-resistant countertop that makes sink cleanup so much more convenient because there’s no lip to trap grime!

Which ever options you are interested in. Sullivan Construction will be happy to guide you through the choices to find what suits you best.

Frameless Shower Doors …

A lot of times at Rich Sullivan Construction we face space issues when helping customers design their dream bathroom. We’ve found that frameless glass shower doors are a great way to open up a space.

Since frameless doors don’t have a metal frame, they give the bathroom both an upscale and intimate feel. The glass is thicker, usually ¼ inch thick or greater. With the heavier and thicker glass, the doors slide better on their roller tracks and swing with ease on there hinges.

Frameless glass is also easier to clean because there is no metal frame for soap and dirt to get stuck in (notice there are only small clips holding the glass in place). in the picture below shower bences.

and How About a Built in Shower Bench?

Walk-in showers look great with a built-in bench seat, which can be both a useful and beautiful addition to your design. If you go with marble or granite you could have the bench match your shower curb, vanity top, and even the threshold leaving the bathroom. It adds storage space and support. A.D.A approved handicap handles can also be a added to assist in getting up and down from the bench. This can increase safety and stability in your new shower. Below is an example of such a bathroom Rich Sullivan Construction did in Groton Massachusetts .

Take Advantage of Dead Space Between Your Wall Studs!

Inset shelves are built right into the frame work to take advantage of the dead space between wall studs without intruding into the shower space. Not only are they a great way to add storage space, you can use inset shelves to build contrast into your shower design. For example, if you include a mosaic border above or below the shelves and use that same tile inside the shelves. This also can be seen in the photo above done by Sullivan Construction.

Remodeling your bathroom can be much more than just spending money to “fix things up.” It can also be an opportunity to create a space you and your family can love and share for years to come. While still adding great Value to your your home.
